The HAWTHORNE HOTEL – in Salem, Massachusetts- (known simply in 1925 as The Hawthorne) commenced business on July 23 of that same year. It was a spectacular affair for this extraordinary historic New England City. The hotels opening was an occasion-of-sorts that featured an initiation parade on July 21 and many other roaring twenties inaugural events. The hotel was named for one of Salem’s favorite former residents, author Nathaniel Hawthorne.
The traditional and famous Salem, Massachusetts hotel provides 93 rooms including 6 suites all individually furnished and tastefully appointed; ideal for business and leisure travelers to the North Shore area. HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems within this antique gem are a constant challenge to preserve.
This preservation of history and the ideals of service from our historic past is what Cranney Companies believes is our first responsibility to our partners, clients and friends.
